What has fueled your company’s growth? “At M&M, we identify our client’s most important project criteria and then together develop solutions for each of these business drivers to enhance employee productivity and engagement. We make interior environments support their workers and work harder for our clients.”

What is the biggest obstacle to your company’s growth? “The economy, sustainability, distributed work and alternative workplaces, and Moore’s Law: The number of transactions on an integrated circuit can double approximately every two years. For Gen Y workers, the line between work and home doesn’t really exist. They just want to spend their time in meaningful and useful ways, no matter where they are. Collaboration – the office is getting smaller, but with obstacles come opportunity.”

Do you plan to make any changes in your company in the coming months? “Yes, with growth comes change.”

Who are the business people, locally or nationally, whom you admire? And what traits do those people exhibit that make you admire them? “G.W. Haworth, Dick Haworth and Matthew Haworth. A third generation privately owned company that started in a garage in Holland, Mich. We admire their values and innovations. Some of the Haworths’ major innovations and products have been the development of free-standing office modules with desks and shelving in 1971 that today are called cubicles and the introduction of wired office panels to eliminate piles of extension cords in 1974. The Haworth family still holds its core values from the founder G.W. Haworth after all these years and growth.”

What is the outlook for the business conditions of your industry over the next several months? “Our business conditions outlook is consistent with the general expectations and trends of office furniture industry analysts. We expect slight to moderate revenue growth to continue, particularly in the areas of corporate, financial and health care related sectors.”

What is your company’s most important growth strategy right now? “M&M Office Interiors will always serve our clients with integrity, be adaptable to the changing workforce and work environments, and be strategic when venturing into new growth opportunities.”
