Miron celebrates earth day by giving back

Organizations:

Miron Construction Co., Inc. employees, recently donated nearly 6,000 lbs. of items to the Goodwill Industries of Southeast Wisconsin Store and Donation Center in Wauwatosa. The competition was held in honor of Earth Day’s 40th anniversary to emphasize the importance of reusing to divert waste from landfills. Miron divided its employees region-wide into three teams, who competed to see which team could collect the largest number (by weight) of donated goods from family, friends, and neighbors. Donations were placed in three semi-sized Miron storage trailers, and each trailer was weighed on Earth Day to see which team donated the most. Miron employees from the Neenah, Iowa, Madison, and Milwaukee offices, donated 7,946 pounds worth of items to the 30,000 pound total.
