Milwaukee Ballet brings Peter Pan to the stage

To celebrate the anniversary of the its 40th season, the Milwaukee Ballet will stage a world premiere production of “Peter Pan” on Thursday, May 13 through Sunday, May 16.
“The excitement building at Milwaukee Ballet and throughout the city and the region for the world premiere of our Peter Pan is infectious,” said Milwaukee Ballet artistic director Michael Pink. “The entire process has reinforced our commitment to producing great theater with high production values, original music, and world-class dancing that can be enjoyed by our community and beyond.”
The Milwaukee Ballet has never performed Peter Pan, and this production was created over the last five years by Pink specifically for Milwaukee Ballet.
The production will include unique revolving scenery, creative special effects and a full length musical score composed specifically for the Milwaukee Ballet Orchestra by English composer Philip Feeney. Emmy Award winner David Grill, who has also worked on many of the Super Bowl half-time shows and Olympic ceremonies, is creating the lighting design. Tickets range from $25-$88, and the Sunday performance is sold out. For additional information or to order tickets, call (414) 902-2103 or visit www.milwaukeeballet.org.
