“With this technical data and building history knowledge, Barrientos Design will be able to effectively continue work for past T.L. Finke projects,” said Norman Barrientos, AIA, president of Barrientos Design. “We are excited by this growth opportunity to service more clients and to extend Finke’s design heritage with Barrientos’ future.”

Barrientos Design is now better equipped to serve clients in the retail, senior housing and industrial segments, Barrientos said.

This acquisition will not be Barrientos Design’s last, Barrientos said.

“We’re hoping to do another purchase,” he said. “We’ve informed the same broker (Sunbelt Business Brokers) that brought this deal to us that we’d look at others. We think this is a good time (to buy).”

Waukesha Bearings acquires Illinois company

Pewaukee-based Waukesha Bearings Corp. has acquired Rock Island, Ill.-based Inpro/Seal Company.

Waukesha Bearings is owned by New York-based Dover Corp. and is an operating company in Dover’s Fluid Management Segment. Waukesha Bearings is a provider of custom-engineered hydrodynamic bearings and magnetic bearing systems.

Inpro/Seal Company is a designer and manufacturer of bearing isolator technologies.

"Inpro/Seal is an excellent fit with Waukesha,” said William Spurgeon, Dover Fluid Management president and chief executive officer. “The acquisition of the market leader in engineered bearing isolators is consistent with Dover’s strategy of pursuing bolt-on companies with long-term growth potential. Inpro/Seal’s market position and commitment to innovation make it a great addition to Waukesha Bearings and to our Energy platform."

Dover Corp. said that the acquisition of Inpro/Seal adds an adjacent product to Waukesha’s market-leading bearing solutions for oil and gas and power generation markets.

Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
