A long vacant site in the Menomonee Valley where Lakefront Brewery Inc. had recently considered plans to build a brewery, and where Allen Edmonds Corp. several years ago had planned to build a factory, has been put on the market for sale.

The 9.4-acre site is located at 841 W. Canal St. Cassidy Turley Barry has been awarded the exclusive listing for the property. Kurt Van Dyke and James T. Barry III of Cassidy Turley Barry will be marketing the property.

The property is owned by John Stollenwerk Milwaukee Real Estate LLC. Stollenwerk is the former president, CEO and owner of Allen Edmonds.

Last year Lakefront Brewery announced plans to build a second brewery on the site, but has dropped those plans.

The site is located southeast of I-43 and Canal Street and has 400 feet of frontage on the Menomonee River. It is located just west of the Harley-Davidson Museum.
