Pewaukee-based marketing company
The Marek Group acquired
Ecker Envelope Inc., a Mequon-based envelope printing company.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Ecker Envelope was already a supplier for The Marek Group’s direct mail business prior to the acquisition. But with Ecker Envelope now in the fold, The Marek Group can offer their clients a shortened speed-to-market, reduced costs and enhanced end-to-end quality control on direct mail marketing campaigns.
“From upfront data management to postal optimization and distribution, this is a huge benefit to our clients,” The Marek Group CEO Fuzzy Marek said in a statement. “This acquisition along with our investment in several new smart, high-speed inserting machines has drastically increased our direct mail capacity, and, ultimately, improved our ability to serve our combined client base.”
As part of the acquisition, Ecker will migrate its operations to Marek’s production facility over the next 90 days, according to a press release. The company will also hire all existing Ecker employees.
“The Marek Group was a perfect fit for us and—most importantly—our customers,” Ecker Envelope CEO Scott Ecker said in a statement. “I’m passionate about getting up and going to work every day, and I know the Marek team is the same way. I look forward to staying on and working with their team. After 31 years in the business, I couldn’t think of a better opportunity.”
The Marek Group provides marketing execution services for the health care, financial services, manufacturing and retail industries. Its services include the company’s proprietary channel marketing Software as a Service platform Triptych, print management, promotional products, fulfillment and distribution, data analytics, data management and internal direct mail campaign execution.
