Wisconsin Safety Council has elected a new slate of officers to its board of advisors. Chad Tisonik, vice president of risk control for HNI, Inc. of New Berlin was elected to serve as Chairman for the 2010 – 2012 term, taking over for Rick Kante, corporate safety director for Briggs & Stratton Corporation in Milwaukee.
Kante moves from chairman to nominating committee chair. Jean Melvin, Safety and Health Manager for Chrysler, LLC, was elected to first vice chair; and Mark Finarty, EHS/facilities specialist for Carefusion in Middleton, was elected as second vice chair.
Germantown-based MGS Mfg. Group, a provider of engineered manufacturing solutions for the plastics industry, has named Steve Szydlowski to president and Brian Oelhafen to director of project management for Moldmakers, Inc., the company’s tooling division.
Szydlowski has been with MGS Mfg. Group since 1982, when the company was founded. He has held various roles during his tenure, including shop foreman, toolmaker, program manager and vice president, respectively.
Oelhafen has been with the company since 1990 and has held positions including lead toolmaker and tool room co-manager.
