Harley-Davidson Inc. announced the election of John Anderson, president and chief executive officer of Levi Strauss & Co., to Harley’s board of directors.

"Like Harley-Davidson, Levi’s is one of the world’s most highly-regarded brands. John’s rich experience with international operations and growing the Levi’s brand globally adds valuable expertise and an important dimension to our own focus on global growth for the Harley-Davidson brand," said Harley chairman Barry Allen.

Anderson has expertise in merchandising, marketing and operations. Among other leadership positions in his 30-year career with Levi Strauss, he has served as president of the company’s Asia Pacific Division; president of its Global Sourcing Organization; president of Levi Strauss Canada and Latin America; interim president of Levi Strauss Europe; and vice president of merchandising and product development for the U.S. Levi’s brand.

Dresser Waukesha has named Scott Nolen vice president of power generation. Nolen will be responsible for managing and growing the company’s global power generation business.

“Power generation represents an important growth opportunity for Dresser Waukesha and I’m delighted that Scott will be focusing his experience and perspective on increasing our market share in this category,” said Brian White, interim president, Dresser Waukesha.

Nolen worked previously at Cameron Compression Systems in Buffalo, N.Y., a provider of industrial air and hydrocarbon compressors, where he was global marketing manager. Nolen also worked with Rolls-Royce Energy based in Mount Vernon, Ohio, where he served as director of power generation marketing and as product director for two of the company’s turbine lines.

The Wisconsin Manufacturing Extension Partnership (WMEP) has named Kristin K. Reid Director of Consulting Services. She will be responsible for leading WMEP’s team of manufacturing specialists in achieving performance and financial goals. 

Reid served previously as operations manager for Naviant Group LLC and as leader of best practices for Virchow, Krause & Co., LLP,  now known as Baker Tilly. She also has held senior-level positions at Jefferson Wells International and Kohler Co. 

“Kristin Reid’s experience and knowledge will be a tremendous asset to WMEP,” said Mike Klonsinski, WMEP’s executive director.

Lange Bros. Woodwork Co., Inc. has hired Mark Fisher to coordinate and manage the plant operations of the companies’ three manufacturing facilities in Milwaukee and Marinette Counties.

Fisher’s expertise in production efficiencies and lean manufacturing methods will be implemented throughout the operations of the 78 year old company. Fisher has worked in efficiency and productivity roles in some of Wisconsin’s and Colorado’s leading wood products manufacturers.
