The law firm of Foley & Lardner LLP in Milwaukee has announced it will once again team up with the Brewers Community Foundation to launch the season-long K’s For A Cause program which benefits Hunger Task Force.
Each time a Brewers pitcher strikes out an opponent a large blue “K” will appear on the K’s For A Cause strikeout meter at Miller Park and Foley & Lardner employees will make a donation to fight hunger. The public can also donate by visiting www.hungertaskforce.org or by texting FOOD to 52000.
“I’m excited to be in Milwaukee and honored to be part of the K’s For A Cause program,” said new Brewers pitcher Shaun Marcum.
“Wisconsin baseball fans know how to have a good time and helping out a hungry neighbor while they cheer on the Brewers makes the game even better,” said Sherrie Tussler, Hunger Task Force executive director. “The Foley ‘K board’ adds fun for your office, your family, or your buddies because there’s an even greater reason to root for the win.”
K’s For A Cause is part of a four-year partnership between Foley & Lardner LLP and the Milwaukee Brewers. Over the past three seasons, this program has raised over $400,000 toward feeding Milwaukee.
“This unique program allows us to cheer on our Milwaukee Brewers while also providing more support to our community,” said Foley partner Andrew Wronski, a member of Foley’s Sports Industry legal team and chair of Foley’s K’s For A Cause committee. “Unfortunately hunger relief is a top concern right now for many Milwaukeeans so as an organization we feel our continued support is critical.”
