Michael Best & Friedrich, one of Milwaukee’s leading law firms, has joined the growing list of tenants in the International Water Technology Accelerator building.
The building, located at 223 W. Pittsburgh Ave., will house water-related research activities for universities, existing water-related companies, the Milwaukee Water Council, and companies promoting business development and accelerator space for new, emerging water-related companies.
Michael Best & Friedrich will lease space on the fifth floor of the seven-story building.
“Michael Best does a substantial amount of work with both start-ups and in the tech transfer space (bringing innovations to market),” said Scott Beightol, chairman of Michael Best & Friedrich LLP. “We see great promise with the Water Technology Accelerator in helping innovators patent and license their intellectual property, advising on business formation and structure, providing links to investment capital sources, and helping create new businesses here in our hometown. Talk about a ‘win win.'”
Water Council president and chief executive officer Dean Amhaus said, “We look forward to having Michael Best & Friedrich be part of the International Water Technology Accelerator. The firm will be a great addition and resource to the tenants.”
The Water Council believes it can advance Milwaukee’s global position by becoming a magnet that attracts creative talent, innovative ideas and is recognized as a world water hub for research, education and economic development.
