Lakefront launches wheat monkey beer

Lakefront Brewery, Inc., Milwaukee, today released Wheat Monkey Ale in Milwaukee area bars, liquor and grocery stores. Wheat Monkey is an unfiltered golden wheat ale, made with 30 percent white wheat. It is the first new beer the brewery has released in more than 18 months.

To introduce this new beer, Lakefront Brewery, Inc. will host a launch party today on East North Avenue. Party-goers can enjoy $2 draft Wheat Monkeys at BBC Bar & Grill from 6-8 p.m. The party will migrate to Hooligan’s at 8 p.m. and finish at Live on North at 10 p.m.

In honor of this launch, Lakefront Brewery, Inc. has changed its tap handles from a standard, wooden pub handle to a three-sided ceramic handle in black, orange or green, depending on the beer. The Wheat Monkeys handle will be orange.
