What does your daily or weekly fitness regime consist of?
"My fitness program consists of a 600 hour annual cycling specific training program that starts in October and runs through September (WCA cycling event calendar). Workouts vary depending on period i.e. prep, transition, base 1-3, build 1-2, peak and race. Early season workouts consist of high volume low intensity aerobic activity gradually transitioning to low volume high intensity anaerobic race specific/technique and speed skill workouts."
Other than the obvious health benefits, how has being fit improved your life?
"Improved fitness has improved my mental sharpness, ability to manage work/non-work related stress, improved decision making ability and overall general happiness."
How does personal fitness affect your work life?
"I am able to manage client, vendor and employee relations much better as well as make better business decisions due to benefits listed in number 2."
Do you have a corporate health or wellness initiative?
"No."
How does fitness or wellness affect your overall organization?
"Fitness and wellness does not affect the overall organization because we do not currently have a wellness initiative."
What advice do you have for other executives interested in starting either a personal fitness plan or corporate wellness initiative?
"If you want to make a lasting change become a student of fitness…."
