The downtown Milwaukee store will occupy 2,200-square-feet of space in the George Watts & Son building at 450 E. Mason St. Building tenants also includes the George Watts & Son business, the Watts Tea Room and Zita Bridal Salon.

“We’re excited to be part of the dynamic downtown scene, and to be more conveniently located for our customers in that part of the metro area,” Richard Kessler, company president, said in a written statement.

Like other Kesslers Diamond stores, the downtown location will deal exclusively in diamonds and diamond engagement rings.

Kesslers operates stores in Germantown, Brookfield, Appleton, Greenfield and Madison and will open its first out-of-state store in metropolitan Grand Rapids, Mich. in November.

Kessler, who says he is often asked to have his photo taken when he is at one of his other stores, will be available from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 14-16 to take photos with visitors.
