Amid unabashed emotions on the eve of volunteers getting to work building the Kenosha Dream Playground, Tammy Conforti thanked local elected officials, private and corporate donors — the entire community — for supporting the $1 million project.
At tonight’s groundbreaking in Petzke Park, Conforti was hailed for leading the 3-year fundraising effort to match the city’s contribution for the playground specially designed for children with disabilities.
