What has fueled your company’s growth?
“We have developed and built strong relationships with customers. We try very hard to understand their business and needs and work to meet those needs. With current economic conditions, most facilities are looking to maintain current equipment and replace equipment when it makes sense. These are all strategies that fit into our service based offering.”
What has been the biggest obstacle to your company’s growth?
“The availability of capital is always the problem. Even with a solid balance sheet, banks are reluctant to provide capital.”
Do you have any planned changes for your company in the coming months?
“We are currently discussing our options and we plan to make some solid decisions regarding our long term future.
Who are the business people, locally or nationally, whom you admire? What traits do those people exhibit that make you admire them?
“Sal Campione of Joe Campione Bakery for his vision. I remember talking to Sal and looking at drawings of his company’s expansion. He said ‘this is the goal; the vision.’ Four years later, I attended the grand opening of the new addition. If you walk through the facility, everyone is happy working together. He achieved his goal and built a great team. Matt Burow of Catalyst Construction for his energy. Matt is always on the move. We chuckle at our office; it is not uncommon to get an email from Matt at 11:30 P.M. or later. In football, they call it a great motor; you need it to be successful. Dick Hensley of Investors Bank for his planning. Dick was our former banker and provided great insight and advice on the financial side.”
What is the outlook for the business conditions of your industry over the next several months?
“We see growth in service, maintenance, retrofit, plumbing service, and helping facilities control energy costs. We also plan for our HVAC construction to sustain a small amount of growth.”
What has been your company’s key strategy for rising out of the recession?
“We are just starting long term planning for rising out of the recession. Our strategies will revolve around fine tuning our offerings and systems so that when the economy does pick up, we will be able to meet the additional needs of exisiting and future customers. The key to our success will be the ability to do what we say we will do.”
