The Hebron House of Hospitality, a homeless shelter and housing resource located in Waukesha, kicked off the new year with a new executive director – Rev. Kris Androsky.
Androsky, whose leadership began on Jan. 1, previously served as minister of discipleship at Waukesha First United Methodist Church for more than seven years.
She has also been an active member of the Hebron House of Hospitality’s board of directors as well as served the Waukesha Homeless Task Force, the United Way Homelessness Workgroup and the Downtown Ministerial Association.
Androsky succeeds the organization’s founding executive director, Bernie Juno, who has retired after 34 years. The organization will recognize Juno at a special celebration this spring.
Androsky will oversee the organization’s infrastructure and mission to assist families and individuals of Waukesha County working to overcome housing crises. The organization owns and operates three shelters and 12 apartments and served more than 650 people in 2013.
“It’s an honor to become the executive director of an agency that has always offered a nurturing environment to help people solve their housing needs,” Androsky said in a statement. “I understand the many challenges facing local nonprofits and the importance of building community partnerships and community relationships. I’m excited to be able to serve in this role and provide yet another way of helping people in Waukesha County.”
