Hartland engineering firm acquires Mequon distributor

Hartland-based Price Engineering Company Inc. announced that it has acquired Application Equipment Inc., a distributor of lubrication equipment headquartered in Mequon. The latter company will now be known as Application Equipment, a division of Price Engineering Co. Inc.

“The addition of Application Equipment solidifies our commitment to broaden the offering of best-in-class products and services to our customers,” said Tom Price, president of Price Engineering.

Price Engineering is a provider of hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication, modular framing, electrical control and automation solutions. Its products and services include component distribution, system design and manufacturing, production hose manufacturing, proprietary product design and build, engineering services and training.

The company has 135 employees at its Hartland headquarters and two locations in Oak Creek and Appleton, according to David Cerroni, Price Engineering’s chief sales and marketing officer.

Application Equipment has 15 employees at its Mequon headquarters and Addison, Ill., location. Cerroni said the acquisition did not affect the company’s employees or locations.

Application Equipment is an authorized SKF lubrication systems distributor and integrator providing a full range of SKF and Lincoln products and services in Wisconsin and northern Illinois, including component distribution, system design, installation, service, testing and training.

“Expanding automated lubrication with the fluid power and electrical control groups will enable Price to extract the greatest efficiency by integrating machine automation with proactive maintenance,” said Phillip Pehl, district manager of the SKF lubrication business unit.

Automated lubrication systems are said to enhance the performance and reliability of industrial and mobile equipment by utilizing a centralized system that enables the delivery of precise volumes of lubricant for specified moving parts of a machine.
