The two new motorcycle models recently unveiled by Milwaukee-based Harley-Davidson Inc. will be manufactured at the companyโ€™s plant in Kansas City, Mo., according to a report by The Kansas City Star.

Next year, the motorcycle maker will begin selling the Street 500 and Street 750 models, the companyโ€™s first lightweight models in decades. The Kansas City plant will build them for U.S. buyers and the companyโ€™s plant in Bawal, India, will build them for international customers.

In the United States, the bikes will carry $6,700 to $7,500 price tags, the lowest-priced bikes the company offers.

The new models, while lighter, will have the Harley-Davidson sound, a lean chassis, super-low seat height and a broad handlebar sweep. With a new fuel-injected and liquid-cooled engine, they are the first all-new platform from Harley in 13 years.
