The Harley-Davidson Museum will kick off its newest exhibit True Evel: The Amazing Story of Evel Knievel on Saturday, July 10. To celebrate the exhibit, the Museum has partnered with Milwaukee’s Lakefront Brewery to produce a special, limited edition beer call True Evel Daredevil Ale and will also host a meet and greet session with Evel’s son, Kelly Knievel on Saturday, July 17.
The discussion session with Knievel is $10 for members and $12 for non-members and begins at 7 p.m. Space is limited and reservations are required.
Tonight, the museum will host a special celebration as part of its weekly Bike Night celebration at the Museum to launch the True Evel Daredevil Ale from Lakefront Brewery.
“We wanted to make something that sort of resembled Evel himself,” said Russ Klisch, president of Lakefront Brewery, Inc. “The beer has a very bold malty flavor and is balanced well with hops.”
According to Klisch the beer is also aggressive with a 7.2 percent alcohol by volume content.
“It’s not very weak,” he said. “I don’t think Evel would have wanted it that way either.”
The beer will be sold in 22 ounce bottles at the museum’s Motor Bar & Restaurant as well as selected area retailers, Klisch said.
The label on the beer also features a coupon for $4 off the admission price to the museum exhibit.
