In honor of ‘The King’s’ 75th birthday, Elvis’ famous red and white 1956 Model KH will be on view along with an exclusive display of rarely seen photographs taken during his career-changing 1968 “Comeback” television special.

On loan from the Graceland archives, the black and white photography shows Elvis in the black leather suit that has become one the most recognized artifacts at Graceland. Museum visitors are invited to leave a birthday message for the King of Rock-n-Roll during their visit. The photography display runs Jan. 7 through Jan. 31.

Throughout the run of the display, Motor Bar & Restaurant will feature a variety of Elvis’ favorite southern dishes, including the peanut butter and banana sandwich. Guests can enter to win a Graceland prize package, and those sporting Elvis sideburns and sunglasses for their visit can get in at a discounted rate.

To kick-off the celebration, the Museum is hosting a special party for the king on Friday, Jan. 7 from 3 until 9 p.m. at Motor Bar & Restaurant. Rockabilly artist Liam Ford will perform and attendees will enjoy special Elvis giveaways along with happy hour food and drink specials.
