How does personal fitness affect your work life?
"Our organization consults with employer groups in developing their employee benefit plans. Health isnruance is the primary benefit offering. Therefore, I am selling health and should be an example of the healthy lifestyle that more Americans need to adopt."

How does fitness or wellness affect your overall organization?
"We are in the process of developing our wellness road map as an organization for 2007. We began working with Froedtert and the Medical College’s wellness coordinator, Tracey Brand, to develop our strategy for 2007. Last fall we initiated the program by participating in Health Risk Appraisals (HRAs) conducted by Tracey’s organization. We recently met to review the aggregate report from our HRAs to plan out activities for 2007."

What advice do you have for other executives interested in starting either a personal fitness plan or corporate wellness initiative?
"All health care starts with the individual. The focus on wellness will pay dividends in your personal life and in your corporate life. Besides, it is the right thing to do!"
