Comprehensive Plan: The village has not begun planning or scheduling for the completion of the Comprehensive Plan for future growth.

Basic process of approval or denial of a development plan:

- Advertisement -

• 1st  Meet with Staff

• 2nd Proposal goes to Village Board

• 3rd Village Board makes referral to Plan Commission

- Advertisement -

• 4th Plan Commission does its work & makes recommendation to village board

5th Village Board has the final word

Projects also need to go to the Building Board for approval

TIF Districts: The village has not implemented any TIF Districts in the past.

Redevelopment Aid: The village does not offer any special programs for redevelopment.

Fee Schedule:

1) Conditional Use     $300

2) Any other permit or fee required min. $50

Time Schedule for Plan Approval: The average amount of time from submittal to final approval for a new development is about 3 to 6 months for large projects and 6 to 8 weeks for smaller projects.

Building or Growth Moratoria: There are no building or growth moratoria in place now.

Environmental Issues: None specifically listed.

Single Development Department: There is not a single department that handles it all. It is a joint effort involving the Building Inspector, Engineer, Police, North Shore Fire Dept. and Village Administration.
