First American Capital recognized by SBA

Jeff Bowman, president of First American Capital Corp. in West Allis, has been recognized by the Small Business Administration as Minority Small Business Champion for region five.

First American is a certified Native American Community Development Financial Institution and was the first certified Native American SBA micro-lender.
The company has made more than 70 loans totaling $2.6 million to minority owned businesses. The loans have been used to create or retain more than 200 jobs.
