Milwaukee-based Tracer Repair and Overhaul, and Miami-based Messier-Bugatti, a Snecma Group company, and have announced the formation of Messier-Bugatti-Tracer (www.messier-bugatti-tracer.com), a joint venture providing wheel and brake repair and overhaul.
With FAA/JAA 145 certificated repair stations in Milwaukee and Miami, Messier-Bugatti-Tracer (MBT) is the third largest provider of wheel and brake services for commercial and military aircraft.
Jean-Marie Jacquet, vice president, Aircraft Braking Division, Messier-Bugatti and a member of the new Messier-Bugatti-Tracer board of firectors, said “the commercial aviation wheel and brake MRO market in the Americas is huge and is filled with opportunity for us. MBT will change the wheel and brake market landscape.”
Aviation veteran Bill Morales, Messier-Bugatti-Tracer president & CEO, founded Tracer Repair & Overhaul in 1996. The new company, MBT, offers its customers a new level of service. According to Morales, “It’s all about the customer and their experience with us. MBT offers very personalized and knowledgeable customer service with attention to what the customer actually wants and needs. In these tough times, airlines are looking for new ways of managing their parts and planes. If you need your wheels and brakes back in service tomorrow, they will be back in service tomorrow. MBT will say yes, when others say no. We are easy to do business with. Your schedule is our schedule.”
In addition to CEO Bill Morales, Paul Severin, an aviation executive with a long career in the aviation wheel and brake market, is MBT’s chief marketing officer. Jim Gomez, executive vice president, ran US Marine Corps flightline maintenance operations and was key in the startup of Tracer R&O in Milwaukee.
Tracer R&O is at 2040 W. Cornell St. on Milwaukee’s north side. The company is affiliated with Tracer Corp., which last fall moved to a new 30,000-square-foot headquarters at 1600 W. Cornell St. Morales is CEO of Tracer Corp. The company provides commercial aviation parts and services.
