Associated Banc-Corp announced that Mark Sander has been named executive vice president of commercial banking for the Green Bay-based bank.
Sander brings more than 25 years of banking experience to Associated. Most recently, he held the position of commercial banking executive at Bank of America, where he was responsible for the six-state Midwest region. Previously, he held a number of leadership positions in commercial banking at LaSalle Bank NA, including corporate executive vice president.
"Mark’s skills and experience make him an ideal choice for this role," said Associated Banc-Corp chairman and chief executive officer Paul Beideman, who recently announced he will retire in 2010. "His commercial banking experience and regional contacts, coupled with his overall management expertise, will be a tremendous asset for Associated Bank."
Sander will report directly to Beideman.
Edward McIlveen, director of performance analytics and research at Francis Investment Counsel in Pewaukee, has successfully passed Level III of the CFA Exam. Having passed the third of three sequential six-hour exams, widely considered to among the most difficult in the investment field, McIlveen will later this year become a CFA Charterholder. Less than 50 percent of Level III candidates passed the exam this year.
Timothy Shirk, a senior advisor of client services at Francis Investment Counsel, has successfully passed the Certified Financial Planner exam. According to the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc., the pass rate of CFP Certification Examination for first time takers is 62 percent.
Securant Bank & Trust has promoted Anna Liza Siy to compliance officer. Siy is located at the Milwaukee office, 6001 W Capitol Dr. Her financial industry knowledge includes more than 12 years of loan documentation and compliance experience.
