“We are very excited about the launch of our new mobile app,” said Gina Spang, president of Festa Italiana. “As Milwaukee’s first ethic festival, we are proud to be the first with a mobile app as well. In the age we live in, everything is accessible on the go, so we decided, why not Festa too?”

The Festa MKE app, created by Milwaukee-based Vollrath Associates, THIEL Design and Xorbix Technologies, includes a complete entertainment schedule of live music, food demonstrations and dance performances as well as an interactive map illustrating the layout of the festival’s stages and vendors.

Additional features include a photo gallery showcasing Festa Italiana’s roundup of attractions and information related to tickets, parking, special offers and frequently asked questions.

To better engage users, the app also displays authentic Italian phrases and highlights opportunities for social media interaction through Facebook and Twitter.

Festa Italiana will come to Milwaukee’s Henry W. Maier Festival Park, located at 200 N. Harbor Dr., on Friday, July 19, through Sunday, July 21. For more information about the festival, visit www.festaitaliana.com.
