Monday is the last day to enroll in a 2015 Marketplace health insurance plan for coverage starting on January 1.
During Open Enrollment, which started on Nov. 15, coverage starts the first day of the next month for those who enroll between the first and 15th days of the month. It starts the first day of the second following month for those who enroll between the 16th and the last day of the month.
Wednesday, Dec. 31 is the day all 2014 Marketplace coverage ends, no matter when you enrolled. The last day you can enroll in 2015 coverage before the end of Open Enrollment is Feb. 15.
Those who don’t have health coverage during 2015 may have to pay a fee of 2 percent of their income or $325 per adult and $162.50 per child, whichever is more.
