Innovation: Dynamic Plan Designer
The health care world is, perhaps, one of the most complex and varied industries in existence. The changes resulting from the Patient Protection and the Affordable Care Act have only added to the complexity.
Milwaukee-based Dynamis Software Corp. has developed the Dynamic Plan Designer to help health insurance brokers assist their clients with finding the right plan for their businesses and their employees.
“Traditionally, a company would call their broker who would then take a few days to come up with a few different health plan models on Excel spread sheets,” said Andy Nunemaker, chief executive officer of Dynamis.
Problems would arise when clients wanted to tweak or change portions of the plan. Brokers would need to go back to the office, come up with a new plan and schedule a meeting with the client a few days or even weeks later.
“In the age of Google, when you can get an answer to almost anything you want to know in 15 seconds, why should you have to wait days or even weeks to get an answer from your broker?” Nunemaker asked. “Our product enables brokers to give that same level of service in today’s information age.”
Dynamis currently works with broker agencies throughout the country, and the feedback has been incredible, Nunemaker said.
“We found that brokers were really looking for a solution like this, but the business owners experiencing the product are really driving the success,” Nunemaker said. “They are the ones who really love it. They want this process to be quick and easy.”
