Downtown trolley back in service

Transit Express has announced that the summer trolley service to East Town, Westown and the historic third world neighborhoods in Milwaukee are back in service this week with the Hop ‘n Shop and Wine ‘n Dine routes.

The trolley service runs Wednesdays through Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. They will continue through September. Two trolleys will service the “Hop ‘n Shop, Wine ‘n Dine” route to offer 20-minute headways at designated stops. Rides are $1 per person, round trip.
The Trolley routes will take passengers past the Milwaukee Public Market, Frontier Airlines Center, Milwaukee Public Museum, Jazz in the Park, River Rhythms, farm markets, Milwaukee Art Museum, Discovery World at Pier Wisconsin, Betty Brinn Children’s Museum, and the theater and hotel districts. Other highlights of the route include connectivity to shops, restaurants, spas and salons.
