Design Specialties was founded in 1983 as a manufacturer of high quality fireplace enclosures. The company’s new facility will greatly expand its production capabilities in Milwaukee and will include a new powder coat line. The project is expected to create 15 jobs and retain 27 positions.

"Despite these difficult economic times it’s important we continue to invest in growing companies like Design Specialties," said Wisconsin Gov. Jim Doyle. "Design Specialties is a leader in developing energy efficiency products that will provide good jobs for hardworking Wisconsin families."
