Treasures Media buys Mt. Pleasant industrial building for $2.5 million
Treasures Media Inc. recently purchased a 210,870-square-foot industrial building at 2745 Chicory Road in Mt. Pleasant from Ametek Inc. for $2.5 million. Treasures Media, a seller of Christian books and other items, will move its operations to the Mt. Pleasant building from its current location in a strip mall at 4301 Durand Ave. in Racine. Treasures Media was started when Jerry Bloom and his wife purchased a Christian gift store in Kenosha in 2002. The business has grown on the strength of Internet sales. Treasures Media currently has 26,000 square feet of space on Durand Avenue, but needed more space. The Mt. Pleasant building has been vacant since 2007, when Ametek ceased operations there.
