Cousins Subs will debut its new Deep-Fried Cheese Steak on a Stick at this year’s Wisconsin State Fair.
“The Cheese Steak – with its fresh-grilled steak and rich, melted cheese – is one of our most popular subs, and we’re thrilled to offer a brand new, extra special ‘food on a stick’ version during the Wisconsin State Fair,” said Larry Weissman, vice president of marketing for Cousins Subs. “Fairgoers are really going to enjoy this great-tasting, deep-fried delicacy. Cousins Subs has been a Wisconsin favorite for a long time, and we think our Deep-Fried Cheese Steak on a Stick will be a Wisconsin State Fair favorite, too.”
The new stick food will include a bread dough stuffed with steak, sautéed onions and cheese deep fried on a stick and served with a special dipping sauce.
It will be available at the Cousin’s Subs Amphitheater during the Wisconsin State Fair from Thursday, Aug. 5 through Sunday, Aug. 15.
Cost is $3 for one or $5.50 for two.
“This is a one-of-a-kind item, and there’s just one place to get it,” Weissman said. “We encourage everyone to stop by the Cousins Subs Amphitheater during State Fair and try Deep-Fried Cheese Steak on a Stick. You’ve never tasted anything like it. Wisconsin has always known that Cousins offers Better Bread and Better Subs. Now we do Better State Fair food on a stick, too.”
