Corix lands Colorado project

The City of Fort Collins in Colorado has selected Wauwatosa-based Corix Utilities to install the meters for the city’s new advanced meter project.

Corix anticipates hiring about 20 people locally in Fort Collins to support the warehouse and installation operations.
“Our solution will maximize the success of the City’s advanced meter project and support the transformation of Fort Collins Utilities,” said Jeff Van Ess, vice president of U.S. Measurement Services for Corix Utilities USA. “We take an approach that guarantees data accuracy and provides customers with a 360-degree view of their electric and water usage.”
The program focuses on the installation of approximately 100,000 electric meters, water meters and water modules at Fort Collins customer locations. It also includes operation of a call center to manage installation services-related phone calls and appointment management, warehousing and cross-dock facilities necessary to manage the inventory of new and old meter devices and the testing and verification of all activities and services that are provided.
Corix has successfully installed more than 12 million advanced meters across North America.
