Clifton Gunderson may re-locate HQ

Wauwatosa-based accounting firm Clifton Gunderson LLP is considering plans to relocate its corporate headquarters, currently located at 10001 Innovation Dr. in the Milwaukee County Research Park, to another location in the Milwaukee area, according to sources.
Clifton Gunderson’s headquarters currently occupies about 20,000 square feet of office space in the Wauwatosa building. But the firm has grown and it needs more space. Executives plan to move the headquarters to a larger space, with about 35,000 square feet, according to a Milwaukee commercial real estate source.
"We are researching our space needs currently but really no decisions have been made and probably won’t be made for some time," said Clifton Gunderson spokeswoman Jennifer Dirks.
The firm’s search for a new headquarters location is primarily focused on Wauwatosa and Brookfield, the real estate source said. The firm also wants to move its headquarters to a building that will allow it to display a prominent sign, sources said.
In 2009, Clifton Gunderson moved its corporate headquarters from Peoria, Ill. to Wauwatosa, in conjunction with the promotion of Krista McMasters to CEO.
