The Chicago Sports Commission will stage a flurry of events and attractions in mid-March promoting the Big Ten men’s basketball tournament, including a basketball court and tented festival area in Daley Plaza for the “Big Ten Hoops Fest” and a transformation of State Street into a Big Ten “mecca,” complete with fight songs playing on street-side speakers.
