CFO for hire

Local business man David Buslee recently joined B2B CFO, a CFO firm that provides services exclusively to emerging mid-market companies. Local businesses can leverage Buslee’s 26-year financial management experience and hire him as their part-time CFO on an as needed basis.

"Through B2B CFO, I am able to help multiple companies navigate through a diverse set business and financial challenges with results that have impact," he said. "It isn’t ‘fire and forget’ consulting. B2B CFO’s approach enables me to work economically with the client through the long term and we don’t require contracts. It ensures the owner that I provide benefits greater than my cost without long-term handcuffs."

Prior to joining B2B CFO, Buslee spent three years working as the CFO of an industrial brush manufacturer where he was tasked with implementing inventory controls, implementing generally accepted accounting principles compliant accounting and improving intra-company communication. Prior to that position, he spent eight years as the CFO of an aerospace component manufacturing and overhaul company.

"We welcome David to the B2B CFO Partnership. In many ways he represents a snapshot of the organization: business experience and an entrepreneurial outlook, with deep roots in finance and strong connections in the community," said Jerry Mills, founder of B2B CFO.

Unlike a contract controller or interim CFO, a B2B CFO Partner works to create a long-term professional relationship to help the company grow its profitability and cash flow.

The economic environment for small businesses in Wisconsin, as in the rest of the country, has proven challenging.

"Manufacturing is part of Wisconsin’s DNA," Buslee said. "The economic environment will be challenged as the remaining manufacturing base transitions from large corporations serving national demands supported by local small businesses to small businesses serving national demands supported by local corporate service providers."
