Caterpillar executive to headline South Suburban Chamber dinner

The South Suburban Chamber announced that John Disharoon, vice president of industry relations and sustainable development for Caterpillar Global Mining, will be the guest speaker at the chamber’s annual awards dinner on Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012, at the Clarion Hotel in Milwaukee.
Caterpillar Inc. acquired Oak Creek-based Bucyrus International Corp. this year and decided to locate its Global Mining headquarters in Oak Creek.
The dinner also will recognize the chamber’s 2011 Business of the Year and the Pride in Premises winners, and the organization will celebrate the chamber’s accomplishments in the past year.
The chamber celebrated its 10th anniversary this year as a merged Oak Creek and Franklin Chamber.
Nominations for the 2011 Business of the Year and for the Pride in Premises awards will be accepted through Dec. 15. Nominations can be made by emailing the company name to info@southsuburbanchamber.com.
