Caterers storm the town

The National Association of Catering Executives (NACE) will host "For Better or For Worse," a fundraising gala on Nov. 19, at the InterContinental Milwaukee. Local caterers, planners and vendors will offer an introspective look at the events industry, showcasing trends in weddings and social occasions. Proceeds will benefit the Southeastern Wisconsin NACE chapter and the Hunger Task Force of Wisconsin.

The evening’s menu will include delicacies from InterContinental Milwaukee executive chef Robert Ash, along with a silent auction and a voice auction featuring a lobster and steak dinner for 10 and a ski trip to Colorado along with entertainment.

The event will begin with a cocktail hour parody of classic wedding planning mishaps. Following the cocktail hour, the gala will demonstrate the Southeastern Wisconsin event industry’s finest food, décor, and entertainment. NACE is the oldest and largest professional association that addresses all aspects of the catering industry. With over 40 chapters nationwide, NACE offers educational programs, speakers and networking opportunities for members. For more information, contact the NACE Gala Committee co-chairs, Sydney Johnson of Marcus Hotels & Resorts or Chris Albrecht of Let’s Have an Affair.
