Lutheran Home Monarch Ball returns in September

The Lutheran Home Foundation, part of the Lutheran Home and Harwood Place retirement communities in Wauwatosa, will celebrate its 14th annual Monarch Ball on Saturday, Sept. 14, at the Pfister Hotel, located at 424 E. Wisconsin Ave. in Milwaukee.

Apartment building planned for former Pizza Man site

Waterstone Financial Inc., the Wauwatosa-based parent company of WaterStone Bank, reported first quarter net income of $4.6 million, or 15 cents per share, up from $2.2 million, or 7 cents per share, in the same period a year ago.

Journal Communications earnings up 30%

Milwaukee-based Journal Communications Inc. today reported first quarter net earnings of $3.79 million, or 8 cents per share, up from $2.92 million, or 5 cents per share, in the first quarter of 2012.

Demand for generators drives Generac profit surge

Profits for Waukesha-based Generac Holdings Inc. surged in the first quarter by 68.4 percent. The company today reported first quarter net income of $50.7 million, or 73 cents per share, compared to $30.1 million, or 44 cents per share for the first quarter of 2012.

Roadrunner hits quarterly records

Cudahy-based transportation and logistics provider Roadrunner Transportation Systems Inc. today reported first quarter net income of $10.58 million, or 29 cents per diluted share, up 33.4 percent from $7.93 million, or 25 cents per diluted share, for the first quarter of 2012.

As part of its continuing network investment and ongoing 4G LTE rollout, AT&T Inc. has bolstered its signal reach in southeastern Wisconsin by adding a mobile Internet cell site in Dousman.

Meijer store planned for Waukesha

Grand Rapids, Mich.-based Meijer Inc. plans to build a 192,940-square-foot store and a 2,509-square-foot gas station on a 29-acre site southeast of Sunset Drive and Tenny Avenue in Waukesha.
