Team In Training kicks off with informational meetings

The Luekemia & Lymphoma Society’s annual Team In Training (TNT) program will kick off in January with a series of informational meetings here in the Milwaukee area.

Nonprofits form partnership

Fighting Back, Inc. and Jewish Family Services of Milwaukee announced that, beginning Jan. 1, 2010, they will combine the strengths of the two organizations, both of which fund social service and education programs for low-income or at-risk individuals and families in the greater Milwaukee community.

MillerCoors lights up Miller Valley and gives back

MillerCoors LLC will kick off the holiday season with its annual “Holiday Lites Show,” a spectacle of more than 250,000 LED lights synchronized to the music of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. The company is also giving back to the less fortunate in the area this year with a donation of $26,000 to Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin, for the funding of a truck that will be used to distribute fresh food to those in need.

Kohl’s donates $1 million to Penfield Children’s Center

Menomonee Falls-based Kohl’s Corp. recently partnered with Penfield Children’s Center to create the Kohl’s Building Blocks Program.

Kopps-Wagner commits as March for Babies revenue chair

Jennifer Kopps-Wagner, general counsel and senior vice president of Milwaukee-based Assurant Health, will serve as revenue chair for the 2010 March for Babies, the March of Dimes biggest fundraiser.
