Sussex-based The Industrial Controls Co. has acquired the assets of Downers Grove, Ill.-based Control Masters Inc.

Actuant sells RV division for $35 million

Menomonee Falls-based Actuant Corp. has sold its recreational vehicle business to a subsidiary of Elkhart, Ind.-based RV supplier Drew Industries for $35.5 million.

Lands’ End reports higher earnings

Dodgeville-based Lands’ End reported first quarter net income of $10.9 million, or 34 cents per share, up from $7.3 million, or 23 cents per share, in the first quarter of 2013.

CAT to close three Illinois facilities

MillerCoors decreases water, energy usage

Johnson Controls to open large battery plant in China

Glendale-based Johnson Controls Inc. is growing its presence in China by opening a new automotive battery manufacturing plant that will produce 6 million automotive batteries per year in the world's largest new vehicle market, where 22 million new vehicles are produced annually.

Factory orders rise again

U.S. factory orders rose for a third consecutive month in April, adding to evidence that manufacturing is regaining momentum after a harsh winter, according to the latest report by the U.S. Department of Commerce.

Slowdown in mining takes toll on Joy Global

The global slowdown in mining continues to weigh on the bottom line for Milwaukee-based Joy Global Inc., which reported second quarter operating profit of $126 million, or 73 cents per share, down from $279 million, or $1.69 per share, in the same period a year ago.

Regal Beloit to close Kentucky plants

Regal Beloit Corp. has informed employees at its Mt. Sterling and Winchester, Ky., plants of its decision to cease operations at both facilities.
