Children’s Hospital nurse practitioner awarded $18,000 researcher grant

Amy Newman, a nurse practitioner in pediatric oncology at the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, has won an $18,789 nurse researcher grant from Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, a Pennsylvania-based nonprofit dedicated to fighting childhood cancer. Newman is also a doctoral student at Marquette University.

Aurora report finds Wisconsinites less concerned than nation about flu

Wisconsin residents are less concerned about getting the flu than their national counterparts, according to Aurora Health Care’s debut Quarterly Health of Wisconsin Report. Also among its findings was that Wisconsinites planned to eat more poorly and exercise less during the holiday season.
