Capri Senior Communities operates approximately 1,300 age-restricted independent living, assisted living and memory care units throughout southeastern Wisconsin. Central to its business is a unique model and an unmatched standard of care that is driving Capri’s business success.

“The Wisconsin Assisted Living Association has named us a leader in standard of care,” said Jim Tarantino, principal of the company. “Central to that standard is our business model that allows for continuity of care throughout our residents’ aging process.”

According to Tarantino, Capri offers residents the opportunity to begin in a Capri Independent Living unit, and as their health becomes frail or as they need more assistance, transition directly to assisted living and even higher levels of care right in their apartments.

“It’s a very resident-centered model,” Tarantino said. “Moving can be especially difficult for residents, especially at that age, and with any number of varying health factors related to care.”

The company experienced 35 percent revenue growth in 2013, and was named one of the top five senior living firms in the country in terms of customer satisfaction by “Senior News” magazine. Capri Senior Communities continues to thrive and is laying the groundwork for the next level of growth, Tarantino said.

“Because our level of care is so resident-centered, a lot of our growth comes organically,” he said. “We’re being asked to consider locations in the Madison market, Northern Illinois and North Shore areas.”

The company has also established a relationship with an order of nuns in Iowa to assist them with the redevelopment of their central campus.
