Cancer Center recognized for community service

ProHealth Care’s Regional Cancer Center has earned a 2009 Community Service Award from the Wisconsin Cancer Council (WCC) ) for its commitment to cancer screenings – the first-ever award from WCC to a health care organization.

Community Service Awards recognize outstanding work undertaken at the local level by organizations and institutions committed to outreach and service within the community they serve. The Regional Cancer Center earned the award for providing free colorectal, skin and prostate cancer screenings to 1,123 community members in 2008 and was also recognized for providing 10,000 free screenings since 1997. ProHealth Care has Regional Cancer Center locations in Waukesha, Oconomowoc, Mukwonago and Menomonee Falls.
