The UW-Madison Center for Quick Response Manufacturing will present “How to Implement Quick Response in Office Operations” on Wednesday, March 31 at the Engineering Centers Building, 1550 Engineering Dr., Madison. APICS- the Association for Operations Management, Milwaukee Chapter, will present "Tough Times Take Exceptional Leadership…Are YOU Ready?" on Thursday, March 19 from 5:30 to 8:15 p.m. at Bluemound Gardens. This month’s speaker will be Brigadier General Kerry Denson to speak on the importance of leadership in today’s environment. As the economy is in a downward slump and layoffs and business closures are in the local and national news everyday, leadership becomes critical for survival. The Menomonee Falls and Butler chambers of commerce are teaming up for the "Business and Manufacturing Power Lunch" on Wednesday, March 25 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Davians Banquet & Conference Center 16300 W. Silver Spring Drive in Menomonee Falls. The event will include a presentation from Bill Mitchell, Executive Director of the Waukesha County Economic Development Corporation, who will touch on a variety of topics such as: key "economic assets" that position Waukesha County for growth and recomended business strategies for growing the business base in the County and the M7 region.
