Marge Combe, consultant with Vernal Management Consultants, LLC, Milwaukee has been appointed as the chair of the advisory council for the College of Professional Studies at Marquette University.

Education

Dr. Helen Sobehart, president of Cardinal Stritch University, will serve on the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra Board of Directors. She will serve a three year term beginning this month.

Dr. John Dellinger is joining Concordia University Wisconsin Mequon’s School of Pharmacy as the chair of the department of Pharmaceutical and Administrative Sciences. He will also serve as the associate dean of research.


Health Care

Brent Phillips, a senior executive at Mayo Clinic, has accepted the position of chief operating officer of Aurora Medical Group. Phillips will oversee all operational functions of the 960-physician medical group.  Aurora Health Care has also named Michael Lappin, member of the national corporate services practice group at Quarles & Brady vice president and general counsel.

Dr. Mark Aasen, a board-certified pain management physician and anesthesiologist, has joined the physicians of Advanced Pain Management. Dr. Aasen will be seeing patients at locations throughout the greater Milwaukee area.

Dr. Nick Turkal, president and CEO of Aurora Health Care, Milwaukee, has been selected by the WHA Nominating Committee to serve as WHA’s chair-elect in 2010 and chair in 2011.
