Kolb+Co. SC, Brookfield, announced the additions of Jim Wagner and Jim Small as shareholders of the firm. According to Tom Luken, president, it is unique for a firm this size to bring in two outside shareholders, but their experience and background will prove valuable to the team.
Wagner recently retired from Deloitte after 35 years. “Joining Kolb+Co. allows me to return to my roots in a sense,” Wagner said. “I have always enjoyed helping owners of privately-held companies achieve their business and financial goals.” Small brings more than 32 years of experience specializing in advising privately held companies and their owners on strategic business planning, accounting, audit and tax matters. Wagner and Small are this week’s featured Bubbler Executives.

Who is your role model and why? My father was a hardworking man with 12 children. He found a way to be a dedicated family man, employee and servant to the community.
What was the funniest thing that has ever happened to you? I arrived two hours late for my wedding rehearsal, because I was out golfing with my groomsmen. We got rained out on the 13th hole, and time got away from us. By the time we arrived, the pastor had gone home because he was tired of waiting. While my wife didn’t find it funny, my groomsmen and I found it quite entertaining. That said, I did make sure that I was on time for the wedding the next day.
