Industry: “Hospitality – We are a full-service meeting management provider with expertise in incentive travel, hotel contracting, event coordination and online registration.”
Education: Graduated from UW Milwaukee and Marquette University
Family: “My husband, John and I have been married for 22 years. My son, Ryan is 20 and my daughter, Taylor is 16.”
Hobbies and Interests: “Running, soccer, hiking, biking, playing with our dog Riley, reading biographies and non-fiction books.”
Favorite book and/or movie: “”Unbroken,” by Laura Hillenbrand. I actually had an opportunity to meet Louis Zamperini and spend an evening listening to his stories. He’s an amazing individual.”
Favorite musician/band: “Jon Bon Jovi – I’m definitely a girl of the 80’s…who didn’t love Jon? My business partner and I have traveled to 5 different states to see him. We actually made it as close as the fifth row.”
Favorite place to visit/vacation: “I’ve been fortunate to travel a fair amount outside the United States, but my all-time favorite place is Hilton Head, South Carolina. I’m an outdoors girl, and Hilton Head offers every activity right outside my back door…biking, hiking, rollerblading, golf, swimming, kayaking, water skiing, running, walks on the beach. To me, Hilton Head, is just a little slice of heaven.”
Favorite local restaurant: “I have lots of favorites depending upon what I’m hungry for, but a good, casual restaurant with an outdoor café along the river that I enjoy frequenting is Riverfront Pizzeria.”
Words to live by: “Booker T. Washington has some beautiful quotes, but one that speaks to me and one that I feel is extremely relevant today is…”Character is Power”. When you have character, morals, values…you’re like Superman! We need more Supermen (women) in our world.”
What is your core philosophy for doing business? “Honesty, integrity and never give less than a 110 percent.”
Who is your role model and why? “Abraham Lincoln. I am amazed at what he endured personally and professionally throughout his life and how he persevered. We all have obstacles in our lives, but it is how we work to overcome these obstacles that define who we are. More than anything, I want people to remember me as someone who fights for what they believe in and never gives up!”
What was the funniest thing that has ever happened to you? “I recently had my picture taken with Mayor Barrett in our giant Snowglobe that will be on display at Winter Fest. I am on the petite side, but the camera angle made me look like I’m about four feet shorter than the Mayor…we all had a good chuckle in the office.”
