- Thursday, Dec. 17, Learn the ins and outs of the Wisconsin Governor’s Business Plan Contest from past category winners and a long-time judge at the Wisconsin Innovation Network monthly meeting at Brookfield Suites Hotel and Convention Center, 1200 S. Moorland Road, Brookfield. Registration and networking begins at 11:30 a.m., lunch at 12 noon and the presentation at 12:30 p.m. The cost to attend is $10 for students, $25 for WIN members and past BPC participants, $35 for non-members and included with WIN corporate memberships. - Thursday, Dec 17, The Milwaukee Press Club’s next Newsmaker Luncheon will take place at the NewsRoom Pub, 137 E. Wells St., Milwaukee, from 11:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and will feature a discussion on the year ahead in Wisconsin politics. The featured Newsmakers will be Michael Tate, chairman of the Democratic Party of Wisconsin, and Reince Priebus, chairman of the Republican Party of Wisconsin. The newsmakers will discuss the 2010 elections, including the Wisconsin gubernatorial race. Cost to attend is $15 for press club members, $20 for non-members and $10 for students. - Wednesday, Jan. 6, The Waukesha County Chamber of Commerce is offering an advanced leadership program, called Leadership2, for graduates of Leadership Waukesha. Leadership2 is a program dedicated to the personal and professional growth and advancement of business professionals and has been designed for Leadership Waukesha Alumni. Today there are over 300 business professionals who have graduated from Leadership Waukesha, which is currently in its 21st year. The series of 12 sessions begins on Wednesday, Jan. 6, and runs through May. Sessions will be facilitated by Jerry Fons, president of Executive Power, LLC.
