Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin has announced that Briggs & Stratton Corp. will continue to serve as title sponsor of the Briggs & Al’s Run & Walk through 2017.
Milwaukee-based Briggs & Stratton has served in the title sponsor role since 1995, making the event on Sept. 14 its 19th year.
“We are really grateful to Briggs & Stratton for its continuing support on many levels,” said Peggy Troy, chief executive officer, Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.
Last year alone, Briggs employees had the largest corporate team with 488 members and ranked in the top 10 for team pledge raising.
“Their commitment to the health of our community and the efforts of the organization are phenomenal,” Troy said.
“Briggs & Stratton is proud to continue our title sponsorship for this great event,” said Todd Teske, president, chairman and CEO for Briggs & Stratton. “Hundreds of our employees participate every year and raise thousands of dollars, affirming our commitment to helping Children’s Hospital make a difference in the lives of children in our community.”
Since 1978, Briggs & Al’s Run & Walk has raised more than more than $14 million for Children’s Hospital. The event is co-named after Al McGuire, the former basketball coach at Marquette University.
